Get setup in 5 easy steps

This guide walks you through everything you need to set up your account and run your first pulse surveys. Companies that follow these five steps consistently have a successful launch.

Two things are already handled for you:

That leaves five practical steps to go live.

Step 1: Create your employees

Your employees are the foundation of every survey, so this is where you start.

You have a few ways to add them:

  • Add them manually in the platform.

  • Import them from a spreadsheet or file. Send it to us via the chat in the bottom right corner and we will help you import them.

  • Connect an integration with your HR platform. Reach out in the same chat and we will set it up with you.

Step 2: Set up your groups

Groups are how you slice your results. Common ones are location, department, team, gender, and age.

Setting these up lets you filter your data and see exactly where in the organization to focus, instead of looking at a single company-wide number. Granular segments are what turn a score into something you can act on.

Step 3: Secure delivery

Make sure your surveys actually reach people.

  • Whitelist our email so no survey gets caught in spam. Follow this guide.

  • If you use Slack, set up the native integration to meet your team where they already work. It only takes a moment. Follow this guide.

Step 4: Build internal buy-in

A launch works best when people trust it from the start, and clear, honest internal communication is what creates that trust.

You do not have to build this from scratch. We provide ready-made presentations, email templates, and a full guide of best practices to help you nail this step.

Step 5: Schedule your first survey

Now decide on your pulse frequency and schedule your first survey.

We recommend monthly or quarterly for most teams. You can also configure a fully custom schedule that fits your needs.

You are ready to go live

That is it. Create your employees, build your segmentation, communicate it internally, and go live.
