Purpose of the certification

There is not other credible certification on the market; Other certifications can be quite simply be bought, have wavering criteria or lack basic transparent.
The Zoios certification is free, our criteria are objective data points not subjective assessments and the criteria and process is transparent.
All to remove the wrong incentives and provide a credible and trustworthy certification - that provide happy workplaces with an advantage and a way to boost, with third-party validation, employee retention and employer branding.

Certification entry requirements
The certifications are granted two times per year. Once in September and once in March. The certification is valid for the 6 months between certifications.
To qualify for the certification you need to surpass these criteria:

Explanation of the criteria
The first two criteria are to ensure a fair and sufficient data:
Minimum 2 surveys within the 6 month window ensures that the company we certify haven't had just one data-point but at least two measures (e.g. quarterly measures) to prove their happy workplace.

Minimum 70% response rate or above 100 responses ensures that the measurement is representative and statistically significant for the overall well-being of the company.

The next three criteria are to ensure sufficient results:
Minimum well-being score of 78 is the Zoios threshold for good well-being (read what is a good score) and used as the criteria for getting certified as a happy workplace (you can also read how the well-being score is calculated).
Minimum eNPS score of 25 is the Zoios threshold for good eNPS (read what is a good score) and thus the criteria for being a happy workplace that employees can honestly recommend to others (read more about how eNPS is calculated).
Maximum 10% of employees experience problematic strain (i.e. work-related stress) ensures that people in the workplace are not in excess risk of stress, which people should expect from a happy workplace (you can read more about problematic strain here).
