Frequently asked questions
What time do our employees get the survey?
Our survey engine runs at 9AM and that's when the surveys begin to be sent. Some days we have to send literally thousands of surveys and emails, but most people can expect to receive the survey between 9 and 10 AM on their initial survey date.
How many reminders do employees get (and when)?
Employees get a message from us on the initial date of the survey. If they answer the survey they receive no further reminders.
People who don't answer will receive a reminder one working-day after the initial date. They will receive another two reminders two working-days after the initial date - one in the morning and one in the afternoon prompting them to answer now.
Why do we send the reminders with such little time in-between? We've found that having an intense period of reminders and survey answers provides the most reliable results, quick access to results and most answers from employees.
If you follow our Automatic schedule (read more in this guide) we always send the survey on a Tuesday and the reminders will be on Wednesday morning, Thursday morning and Thursday afternoon.
If you've chosen a manual date and selected a Thursday, the reminders to answer the survey will be Friday morning, Monday morning and Monday afternoon.
When and how long is the survey actually open for?
Many wonder "How long after the survey is sent can people answer?"
For manual surveys, the survey is open for 2 weeks (14 days). In case you've selected your survey to be send on e.g. a Tuesday the 28th in the month, the survey will run for 2 weeks until the Tuesday after.
For the automatic schedule surveys, the survey is designed to work perfectly for the month and the survey will be open for the rest of the month.
How does employee timezone setting work?
If you have one office in Singapore, one in Copenhagen and one in New York you want to maximize response rate by sending the survey at appropriate time. We use the employee's timezone to adjust the time the survey is send.
