Some groups in Zoios are created automatically from the information you enter on each employee. You don't build or edit these by hand — Zoios keeps them up to date for you.
Which groups are automatic?
The following categories — and the groups within them — are generated automatically based on employee information:
• Gender
• Seniority
• Generation
• Age
• Reporting line — your Direct & Indirect reports, generated automatically from the 'Manager' field. Learn more in Automatic reporting lines.
Why you can't add or edit groups here
Because these groups are derived directly from your employee data, their values are fixed — age brackets and generations follow set definitions, and the reporting line follows whoever each person reports to. That's why you won't see an option to add or rename groups within these categories.
To change where someone lands, update the underlying information on the employee instead. For example, correcting a person's manager moves them to the right place in the reporting line, and updating their date of birth reassigns their age and generation groups.
Good to know: your reporting line is both an automatic category and one of the core categories, so it's worth making sure the 'Manager' field is filled in correctly for everyone.
