We build direct and indirect reporting lines automatically, based on the manager set on each employee — so you can see how your direct reports, and their reports, are doing whatever team or project they're on.
How it works
Reporting lines are generated from the 'Manager' field — set who reports to whom and Zoios builds the structure for you. To update one, edit the manager on the relevant employees (bulk edit works too). See our complete guide to employee fields.
Simpler access
Each manager is automatically tied to their reporting-line group, so there's no manual setup. You just grant platform access — and the right managers are auto-suggested for you on the Accesses page. More in Roles and access control.
These groups are fixed
Because they come from your employee data, reporting-line groups can't be edited under Groups — they update when the manager changes. Same as other auto-generated groups.
Direct vs. all reports
When a manager has several layers beneath them, they can view:
Direct — only their immediate reports.
All — their whole branch, all the way down.
For the CEO, "All" is often the entire company, and a manager of managers can also open each branch below them. This works the same way across Zoios — see Filtering your results: All vs Direct.
